Rob Blanchard

Wyoming native Rob Blanchard, who died in June 2000, was a journalist, professor and university administrator. After spending five years as a daily newspaper reporter in Wyoming, Montana and Utah, he went on to become a professor of communication and academic administrator at American University (1965-78), Penn State (1978-1982) and Trinity University in San Antonio (1982-1998), from which he retired. He was an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow, 1964-1965. He was active in San Antonio and Texas politics and wrote extensively on First Amendment and gay issues.
